Hi, I'm Ritchie!

I've been teaching English for academic purposes since 2006, helping students from diverse backgrounds achieve their goals. I spent six years managing a buxiban, developing my skills in teaching, course creation, and management, while guiding students toward success. Since 2012, I've been tutoring professionals in corporate environments across small to medium enterprises and multinational corporations, as well as continuing to teach IELTS and academic English.

 

What sets me apart is my extensive experience beyond teaching. I've worked in sales, marketing, logistics, management, research, and app and web development, which means I bring a holistic approach to language instruction—one that prepares you for real-world success.

I've had the privilege of teaching in East Asia, immersing myself in the cultures of mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, as well as teaching in the UK and online. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing my students succeed—many of whom have been accepted into top-tier universities around the world or advanced their careers.

 

My teaching approach is all about personalization. We start by understanding your goals, then create a customized learning plan that uses Communicative Language Teaching and Task-Based Learning—methods that I myself used to become fluent in seven languages.
